Matt and Brent Wedding Cake (Framed)

Premise

Each cake design is a journey into the imagination and in some ways, perhaps, a portrait of the mind of its maker.

Hi Brent and Matt,

Just wanted to take a second to send over your sketch. We went with the three tiered round scale that feeds 56. For the design I went with a base structure of dogwoods and built that out first. Then added in hellebores and what I think might be spirea branches not completely in bloom yet. Working off the first two images I told you I liked best. From this is also added the fritillaria with the sharper blade like shape. I think this adds form and structure too. Included are some of the tumbling white clematis Matt sent and some tucked away citrus fruits. Changing lemons and limes on the branch. Even though the design idea was white, I think this will still have a lot of interest as the dogwood petals have more shading than you'd at first think as do the hellebores. The cake was left a more clean white as was the stand.
