Sugar Peony Cake for Olivia (Framed)

Premise 

Olivia and Josh’s sugar flower wedding cake in Ashland, Kentucky. Olivia wanted her wedding cake to be a bright and fun celebration. She doesn’t shy away from gold height, and lush full florals. This happy cake features three different varieties of sugar peonies in varying shades and degrees of pink. The sugar arrangement includes berries, white tea roses (her @kappadeltahq @msu_deltatau sorority flower), and a variety of greenery.

The cake also featured graphic moulding that was hand painted in gold. The moulding pattern was graphic enough not to be lost amongst the full cascade of sugar flowers. While Olivia generally favors more tightly bound arrangements, the additions of billowing sugar berries and some whimsical movement really add to the magic and life of the overall cake.
